Hi Anne! Besides the “write about what interests you” which should be the most important answer, there are a couple of things that I would like someone knowledgeable about the news industry to talk about. I’m not interested in reading about how horrible the press is. Or how evil this or that network is. I am interested in places that are doing good journalism and seeing specific examples and why they are good. Or pointers to those that are pointing these out. I am interested in thoughts on how journalism has changed (if it has). For example, there seems to be a lot more comments in the news about what might happen or could happen, instead of what did happen. I am interested in positive examples of how local press (which has gotten destroyed in the last twenty years) is having some success carving out a new niche. But, as I said at the beginning, writing what interests you is more important than any of my suggestions.
