What would you like to see here?

Just curious what my readers would like to see on this blog. I am a retired newspaper reporter and writer, therefore I am more open to publicly write on my issues and thoughts than I was when I was working - non-partisan was the thing back then.

I'll write about anything and am open to your wonderful ideas. You can email me or post a comment below on what you would like to see. I am open to anything!

Thank you,

Anne.McIlree Noble

Retired Writer, Reporter and not too consistent Blogger (but that will change!). I have some ideas, but would welcome more and be more consistent on the frequency of my blog posts.

My Beloved Cousin

I will never get used to death - what hits me is how much I miss the person who went to God. Recently, it was my cousin, Adam Fraser. May he rest in peace and know that his siblings and cousins and other family will miss him. The only blessing out of this is he was reunited with his parents. Rest in peace, my wonderful cousin.

Why did I wait so long to write this?

Because I still can't believe he is gone....

The man above is Trace Christenson, police and courts reporter for the Battle Creek Enquirer. How do I know him? He took over my job when I left years ago to go to, as journalists call it, "to the dark side."

So what's that, you ask? Anything that isn't newspaper journalism to me is the dark side -- at least that's what I thought when I was in the business. Now I would even put some newspapers and other media in that category.

Okay, enough about that. I do know that the Battle Creek Enquirer lost  one of the best reporters and writers ever. Liked and respected by his colleagues and the people he reported on, as well as his friends.

Rest in peace, my friend. I'm sure you're reporting on all the good stuff going on in heaven.

War is Never Over

It is disturbing to see what Russia is doing to the Ukraine - war is never good. Will we get involved with our military? Who knows?

Naive me - thought this kind of crap from Russia was over. Guess I was wrong.

Happy New Year! (...a bit late)

2022 - It will be an interesting year. It already is. I am semi-retired. Done with the "professional" world and biding my time until Steve retires by working retail. Kind of a blast from the past, as that's where I started - first working for my father at his store; then "professional" jobs after college; now semi-retired and working retail as a store door greeter.

Couldn't have picked a better job - all my coworkers are excellent people and very friendly. Enjoy greeting people. Can still freelance write if  I so desire - and I do. Starting here.

I still will be focusing on writing about the news media, but there will also be more of "me."

Stay tuned! Feel free to reach out and let me know of topics you'd like me to address!
